Margaret E Copland BEM

The funeral sevice of Mrs Copland ( 1936 -2021) took place yesterday (11/1/22) at Parkgrove Crematorium..

The  service was very well attended  with a  piper in full regalia playing before & after.

Maggie was the person who answered the many who wrote  to the website asking for information regarding Monifieth  or distant relatives. Her last reply was on 22nd December to Brian Matheson  MBE Who asked  “ I would like to make contact with any of your membership who have an interest in Monifieth and Barry Links. Specifically, on early golf prior to the founding of what is now known as the Barry Panmure Golf Club”.

 A typical request was :-

“I am researching my family and have some family from Monifieth who I’d like to find out about …..their life and where they lived and worked and what kind of people they were?”
