The Annual Christmas Dinner

Monifieth Local History Society invites you to join us for our Annual  Christmas Dinner

Thursday 17th December 2015  at  7pm

This will take place in the Monifieth Community Cabin

South Union Street.   DD5 4JG

Tickets can be bought at the House of Memories  55  the High Street.

There you can choose from the menu either 2 or 3 courses.

If you are vegetarian please mention it as a vegetarian option will be available.

We would like you to bring your own drinks –  we will supply the glass.


Course 1

  1. Turkey Broth
  2. Pate with Melba Toast
  3. Fruit juice

Course 2

  1. Turkey and trimmings
  2. Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding
  3. Baked ham salad

Course 3

  1. Christmas Pudding and Brandy Sauce
  2. Sherry Trifle
  3. Raspberry ripple ice cream

(All served with cream or ice cream)

Tea/coffee, Mincemeat pies, After eight mints


£12 per head for 2 courses

£14 per head for 3 courses

There has been a place of Christian worship on the site of St Rules Church for over 1400 years and most probably some form of worship before then.
The town developed around the church, which at one time was identified as `Kirkton of Monifieth`.
